What’s New in 2026: The Latest Toornament Updates

New tools for tournament organizers, more flexible competition management and ongoing platform improvements: here’s a look at the latest developments on Toornament in 2026.

Over the past few months, Toornament has continued to evolve with new features and improvements designed to simplify tournament operations, provide better oversight and enhance the experience for all users.

From match location management to automated final standings, here is an overview of the key updates introduced in 2026.

Match Locations: Better Competition Resource Management

Match location management now makes it possible for organizers to create and assign gaming stations, areas or servers to tournament matches.

Organizers can configure locations and define assignment rules based on  stage, group and/or round, via a semi-automated system.

This feature helps organizers manage available resources more efficiently, particularly at events, both online and offline, where multiple matches take place simultaneously.

Automated Final Standings

Tournament final standings can now be populated automatically based on the results of an existing tournament stage.

Organizers can use the ranks achieved by participants at the end of a stage to populate the final standings, eliminating the need to enter each position manually.

This reduces repetitive tasks and simplifies tournament configuration, particularly for competitions involving multiple stages.

Activity Logs: Greater Visibility for Organizers

For organizers with advanced tracking requirements, Toornament now offers a detailed activity log, available upon request with an eligible plan.

The logs provide a record of actions performed throughout a tournament, including registrations, player information changes, organizer actions, match reports and other recorded operations on the platform.

This gives organizers greater visibility into tournament activity and helps them review operations, investigate incidents and resolve potential disputes.

League of Legends: ROFL File Support for Match Reports

League of Legends tournaments can now accept .rofl files, which contain in-game match replays, as evidence submitted through match reports.

This is particularly useful for tournaments that do not use Tournament Codes, which enable a significant part of match handling and result retrieval to be automated.

Organizers now have an additional way to collect match evidence and verify reported results.

Continuous Improvements Across the Platform

Beyond these new features, Toornament has also introduced several improvements to platform performance, security, and user experience.

Improved Server Performance

Our server infrastructure migration has helped improve platform performance and strengthen the technical foundations supporting our services.

A More Efficient Tournament Organizer

Lists throughout the Tournament Organizer have been improved and enriched, making information easier to review and day-to-day tournament management more efficient.

A More Flexible Website Builder

Several improvements have also been made to the blocks and their rendering in the Website Builder. These updates benefit both our own Play platform and the custom websites we provide for clients, helping them present tournament information more effectively.

More Updates to Come in 2026

These developments are part of Toornament’s ongoing evolution. Our goal remains to provide organizers, publishers and developers with increasingly reliable and flexible tools to manage competitions of all sizes.

Further improvements will continue to roll out throughout the year. We’ll share more updates and key developments here on the blog.

Stay tuned for what’s next!
