Microsoft has a brand-new Free Play Days offer running for Xbox players. The latest promotion includes five games and several three expansion packs to make the free-to-play experience of Destiny 2 more packed with content. From the games available to try, five of them are exclusive for Game Pass subscribers, while the remaining one can be played without any sort of membership requirement.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members can now jump into three expansions of Destiny 2 (The Witch Queen, Lightfall, and The Final Shape) as well as the sci-fi space shooter Everspace 2 for no extra cost. Bassmaster Fishing, Astria Ascending, and Way of the Hunter are playable by members as well.
Meanwhile, Descenders is the only game from this refresh that does not require any subscriptions. Keep in mind that any progress made during the weekend also carries over automatically if you decide to purchase a game afterward.
Here are the announced games and the platforms they are available to play on:
- Bassmaster Fishing (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC)
- Destiny 2 (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One)
- EVERSPACE 2 (Xbox Series X|S, PC)
- Astria Ascending (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC)
- Way of the Hunter (Xbox Series X|S)
- Descenders (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC)
To easily find the titles on Xbox consoles, first head to the Store, then in the sidebar, find the Home section. In there, open the Subscriptions tab. The Free Play Days collection will show up in this area.

Other than Destiny 2’s offer, which ends on December 9, this month’s Free Play Days promotions will conclude on Sunday, December 7, at 11:59 pm PT. Following this, expect another round of games to enter the program next week on December 11.
