EA and DICE have finally let the cat out of the bag: The Battlefield 6 battle royale mode is titled REDSEC – short for Redacted Sector – and will arrive as a free-to-play title alongside Season 1.
While it depends on who you ask, some fans have found the incoming battle royale experience to be one of the most exciting aspects of Battlefield 6. Luckily, they don’t have to wait very long to see if the patience has been worth it.

Battlefield REDSEC will be playable on October 28, 2025, at 11:00am EDT along with the other S1 content shortly after update 1.1.1.0 goes live.
